OBSERVATION OF A MAID
Her name is Rosyba. She is a Bengali. She is 37 yr old. She is married and has 3 children. Her husband is a rickshaw wala and he washes cars in the morning. She wake up at 5:00 am and around 5:45 am she starts her work and after completing all her work she gets free around 12 in the afternoon. Then she goes back to her place and does her own house work. After that she again comes back to work around 5:00 pm till 8:30 pm, after that she goes back and she cooks for herself and her family. She is a not literate but she can write and read a little bit of Bengali. She can speak Hindi but can’t write it. Some of the Hindi words she don’t understands so she have a bit language problem as well and if we ask her bring some stuff from market then we have to give her a list but she can calculate.
She uses a simple mobile phone with very basic features in it. She doesn’t know anything about that phone apart from making a call or receiving a call. Her daughter knows how to use other features of that phone. Where she lives there is no electricity and some major water problems, because of electricity problem she can’t even charge her mobile phone so she charges her phone where she works.
